Pickleball was introduced at the Heaton Tennis and Squash club in October 2022 when the Bradford u3a formed a pickleball group. Initially the group met for one session a week but by the end of 2025 year we now have 8 sessions a week catering for all levels of play. Over the last two years teams for Heaton have competed with success in a variety of tournaments, local and national including the English Open and English National Championships as well as the Yorkshire White Rose Club League. Progress has accelerated more recently with the introduction of a pickleball coach.
